What are the application deadlines and program start dates for the Disney College Program?

Students who are just discovering the Disney College Program often ask us when the program actually takes place and when we accept applications and conduct interviews.

Here is a quick overview of our program session time frames and when we actively recruit for them.

These time frames are only approximations and may vary slightly from year to year based on business needs. This information is presented to provide a general idea as to when a student should plan on applying for a specific program session and the general time commitment involved.

It should be noted that most programs have several arrival dates spread over several weeks. Upon accepting an offer to participate on the program, an applicant is presented with their arrival date options which should fall within the general time frame stated above.

I am going to be applying in February. I would like to do Fall advantage but my family is going on cruise at the end of June. Do you think it would be possible to get a week off to go or should I just apply for Fall?

I really want information, about the international programs, i want to apply for the summer work experience, but i don’t know if there’s a deadline, or when do we have to apply.

How late in May does the Fall advantage program start?

  4. Kaitlin C 8 January 2013 at 1:22 pm #

    Two quick questions…

I’ve been looking on the Disney Careers website and I’m trying to figure out how to apply for the co-op program for recent grads…it’s not clear from the site! (I graduated in May with w BPS in Business Management) Do you happen to know what the application process is / who I should send my resume to?

Also, would it be possible for me to apply for the disney college program if I enroll in a class at my local community college? I would essentially be enrolling just to do the DCP.

    Thanks a bunch :)

    Hey,
I am a 20 year old student looking to move to California for the summer. I understand that for the Disney College program there is not a session that runs specifically for the summer, so I was wondering if there are any other options for people outside the country (I live in Canada) to be able to work at Disneyland for the summer time. This may not be the right place to be asking this but it’s worth a try ! Thank you for your time !

    Hello!

You mentioned that students on the quarter system have different options. My school is on the quarter system and I was hoping to do the Fall Advantage program. The winter quarter just started and will be ending in March, and the spring quarter starts in April and classes may go until as late as June 6 for me. So I have a couple of questions:

    1) How late into June are arrival dates typically scheduled? Is there any chance that arriving around June 7 would be too late?
    2) If I took the spring quarter off and only did the winter quarter, would I still be eligible to participate in the Fall Advantage college program?
    3) Do you have any information about the typical dates of programs offered for quarter system students, and if so, is there one that is comparable to the Fall Advantage program? I would prefer to do an advantage program and work over the summer in addition to during the school year.

Thank you! Sorry for so many questions!
    Sarah

Hi Chris. I would like to know are there any tips on how to get into the program? I applied last year, and submitted my application. I did a webinar, and a telephone interview. And within two weeks maybe I found out that I did not get into the program. I really want to make sure that I get in this go around. What can I do? Thanks in advance

Chris, I’m reading the information here on this blog so to sum it all up if i want to plan to apply in september for spring 2014 for four months? will a seminar be better to attend?

  9. Jonathan P 24 January 2013 at 12:36 pm #

Hi, I just finished all my classes in december to receive my diploma is it possible to apply for a program for this coming fall advantage if I’m not taking any classes? It does say graduates are able to but I just want to make sure before I get rejected.

  10. Quinn R 30 January 2013 at 4:26 pm #

Does Disney offer anything for the summer for those of use who go to school out-of-state?

I see that there’s no Disney College Program, but are there any alternatives?

    Thanks!

  11. Fred B 31 January 2013 at 7:54 pm #

    Hello,
I was wondering how the college credit aspect of the program worked. Would I have to meet with someone at my school before I apply? Or would I do that after I apply and am accepted?Should I hold off on signing up for classes next semester? I am currently enrolled at a participating school and I am very interested in participating in the program but these aspects are confusing. Thank you!

  12. Matthew S 27 February 2013 at 9:53 pm #

I was wondering i have already applied and had both interviews, i applied for the fall 2013 program. Would i be able to change it to the fall advantage? or is it too late.

  13. Cindy H 14 March 2013 at 7:14 pm #

    Hey,
What are the advantages and disadvantages of starting earlier versus later in the program?

  14. Kenneth F 1 April 2013 at 4:56 am #

Hi. I am interested in applying to the Disney College Program. Is it too late to apply for the FALL and FALL ADVANTAGE?

  15. Chris C 1 April 2013 at 10:41 am #

    Hi Kenneth,
Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2013 Fall and Fall Advantage Programs.

Please visit http://disneyinternsinfo.com/cp.html and opt in to receive updates about the Disney College Program which will include notification when the application is available this Fall for the 2014 Spring and Spring Advantage Programs.

  16. Sandra G 3 April 2013 at 4:21 pm #

I have been accepted to the Disney College Program for the Fall. Would it be possible to switch my arrival to Fall Advantage?

  17. Amy P 20 April 2013 at 2:00 am #

Hi! I hope it’s not too late to ask a question here. In the internship requirements, what qualifies as being a college graduate? I’m asking because I go to a two-year program at Whatcom Community College in Washington state and I applied for the fall semester but was declined. I’ll still be able to reapply in September but because I’m almost done with school I’m concerned that I might not be able to meet the internship requirements.

  18. Amy P 30 April 2013 at 11:26 pm #

Thank you for answering my question! I hope you don’t mind me asking a follow-up to clarify. If, hypothetically (and not to be negative, I promise!), I’m not accepted into the spring program and I’ve graduated with my associates degree (because I’ll be nearly done with school by the fall) by the next time I COULD apply, would I still be able to apply if I wasn’t in school at that point? As far as I understand it from the information I read, I could apply if I’m a current student OR a graduate. But I’m not 100% certain and I just wanted to clarify! Thank you again!

Will there ever be a summer program?

  20. Candy K 18 June 2013 at 10:49 pm #

I’m expecting to graduate in January. Can I still apply for the spring program?

    —————–

Hi, I think I have the answer to my previous question. Now when I apply in September, I’ll physically be in London studying abroad through my university in Boston. Should that be a problem?

    Thank you!

  21. Chris C 19 June 2013 at 3:02 pm #

    Hi Candy,
If you graduate in January, you will be able to apply during your last semester for either the Spring or Spring Advantage Programs.

As for being in London during the recruiting season, that shouldn’t be an issue. List your U.S. postal mailing address and phone numbers on your application. If you are asked to proceed to a telephone interview, send an email to wdw.college.recruiting@disney.com and they will work with you so that they may call you in London for the interview.

  22. Stephen L 19 June 2013 at 11:26 pm #

How many credits can you earn doing spring at Disneyland? Even though it is longer than the normal semester length, is it still the same number of credits as just spring at WDW?

  23. Alexandra K 20 June 2013 at 12:38 am #

Hi, I recently got my schedule for my first semester at my college this fall as a part-time student. However, i really want to take the disney college program after my first semester, when would the best time for me to apply be. Thank You for your help!

  24. Stephen L 20 June 2013 at 4:07 pm #

So Chris, I guess my question is, if I do spring at Disneyland, the maximum number of classes I can take is 2, correct?

  25. Juan A 21 June 2013 at 5:23 pm #

Hi, I would like where can I find the schedule of the classes, thanks for your help!

  26. Kyla H 23 June 2013 at 2:21 pm #

    Hello!

If I finish college in the Fall (December), but do not get my diploma until the Spring (May) am I still eligible for the Spring college program?

  27. Craig P 27 June 2013 at 2:13 pm #

I am considering applying for Fall Advantage 2014 program at WDW, however I will only be able to make an arrival date after a certain date in late May. Will there be a way to accommodate a request for an arrival date after this day? Thanks!

  28. Ambrosia M 9 July 2013 at 6:19 pm #

What is the difference between the spring advantage program and just spring? Is there any way I could apply for the summer program even though I am not an alumni? I just don’t want to get behind in my college classes.

  29. Jasmine Z 15 July 2013 at 6:07 pm #

I am currently going into my 1st semester of college this fall and want to apply for the spring program, will me being a freshman in college effect my chances of getting in?

  30. Rebecca A 20 July 2013 at 10:22 pm #

I did the Program in Florida and loved it, now I plan on returning to the program next spring, but I was thinking about trying the one in California would be better for me, what’s it like, would it be better?

  31. Emily O 25 July 2013 at 7:59 am #

    Hello,

I was wondering how this relates to becoming an ICP at WDW? I’m Australian and I’ve already applied for August 2014 (haven’t heard back just yet) and I was wondering the time frame for interviews and finding out if I’ve got a place in the program?

    Thanks in advance.

  32. Emily O 26 July 2013 at 8:09 am #

Thank you very much for your reply.

    This blog is fantastic.

  33. English D 1 August 2013 at 8:37 pm #

I am about to start college as a freshman at Ole Miss this fall. I would like to participate in the college program or internship program at WDW as a performer. That being said, is this an option for just summer? I would like to go to school full time both semesters, then work at Disney during my summer break. Being a Disney performer/character would be my dream position, but I would be more than happy just to be working at WDW. So, are there performer internships solely from May-August? Thanks in advance!

  34. Samantha B 15 August 2013 at 5:51 pm #

Okay so I am reviewing my anticipated class schedules and trying to figure out some time issues that I am not sure are worth it or not due to my time goal I have set for myself to graduate and Financial Aid I may not get for a quarter if I go longer.
That being said, I was originally going to apply for the spring advantage program but am now thinking of just doing the spring program. I have heard that when it gets to the end of the program you can apply for an extension through the rest of the spring advantage time. I heard that you may not get it but it is an option.
    Is that true?

  35. Celine S 21 August 2013 at 12:58 pm #

I am very interested in applying for the DCP in Disneyland for my spring semester, but I can’t stay for the semester and the summer. Do you think the way the spring program is set will change in the near future, or will that be the only option for the spring program at Disneyland?

  36. Lizzie K 22 August 2013 at 12:43 am #

    Hello!

I am interested in applying for the Fall Advantage next year but I will be graduating in Mid-May 2014. Would I still be eligible to apply even though I’ll already be graduated during the duration?

    Thank you for your time!

    Lizzie

    Hello again!

Concerning the character performers, when would auditions be held for the fall advantage?

    Thank you,

I’m currently enrolled in classes and I’m graduating with my Bachelor’s in December. I will not be enrolled in my college in the Fall. Is it possible to apply for the Disney College Program in September for the Spring Advantage? I want to move to Orlando and work for Disney for a long time if not forever. I wasn’t allowed to take a break during my years in college.

    Thank you, Stephanie

  39. Ryan L 30 August 2013 at 6:07 pm #

    Hello!
I just started talking classes online from Full Sail, an I am interested in the college internship program. I know it is early to be thinking since I saw that you require at least a semester under your belt, but just wanted to get a head start. I would be interested in the professional internship. Do you have to participate in the college program first to get into the professional internship? Also, since I am online, the classes are accelerated a bit, so would there be time to work on school and take the program?
    Thank you for your help,
    Ryan

  40. Holly A 3 September 2013 at 4:45 pm #

    Hello!
I’m not sure if someone asked this question and I just missed it, but I would like to apply for whatever program is open next. Which I believe is the Spring, I tried to find where to apply but it said there were no openings currently. My question is, when is the next time I can apply for any of the internships?

    Thank you,
    Holly(:

Hello, if i apply for the spring semester and for some reason I can’t go, can i apply for the fall semester right after? Or should I wait until next year? I know that the application process for spring starts in September and for the fall its in February so is that okay?

    Thank you for your help,
    Caroline

For the Disneyland Fall*** program, the article says “Applicants for the session spanning August – January must reside in the provided housing”. So, participants in this session are not allowed to live outside of the Disney provided housing?

  43. Christie M 22 September 2013 at 6:36 pm #

Due to the way my major was constructed at my college, I was unable to take a semester to participate in the Disney college program and still graduate on time. I am now in my senior year and will be student teaching in the spring. I read that there are ways to participate in the college program after you graduate, and I am beyond interested in this option. Would I be able to apply for the college program and participate in it after I graduate in May over the summer? Or would it have to be in the fall? Also, when would I have to apply if this was something I was seriously considering? Any information would be so appreciated since there doesn’t seem to be much information about this available. Thank you in advance! :)

  44. Lawrence B 8 October 2013 at 8:17 pm #

HI, I am a junior in high school, and I was wondering when the appropriate time to apply to the program would be when I’m a senior getting ready to graduate, and go to college. Also any information about how this program will work since i’ll be in college as well would be appreciated.

  45. Jamie B 15 October 2013 at 8:54 pm #

    HI!

Just to clarify some confusions in my brain, the applications and interviews being done and turned in now, would be for spring 2014? and to apply for fall 2014 one would have to apply and do interviews and such around February 2014? and to apply for spring 2015 one would apply around September 2014? Is that correct?

  46. Midori A 19 October 2013 at 2:50 am #

    Hi,
With the Disney college program at Disneyland, does one need to be enrolled in their school/taking classes at their school while on the program? I am currently in school at the moment and accepted for the Spring Advantage ’14.

  47. Michela B 18 November 2013 at 2:07 am #

    Hello!

I am sure someone has already asked this and I am sure it is somewhere on this site, but I am going to ask anyways. How long in between applying does one find out if they are getting a phone interview and then how long after the phone interview will they find out if they are accepted?
I am planning on applying for the Fall 2014 and I know we are suppose to apply in February, but I was just wondering if I will find out by March if I am extended an offer? I am currently attending a community college and have applied to universities to continue my education and I will find out in March if I am accepted and have to let them know ASAP if I am going to attend the school. Thanks for all of your help!

    Hello Chris,
I am 22 years old and I am wondering what’s the age limit to apply for DCP.

  49. Taylee M 15 December 2013 at 4:05 pm #

    Hello!!
I’m a high school senior and I would like to apply for the fall program. What are the requirements to apply for the program? Would it be better for me to apply for the spring after a semester of college?

  50. Marybeth S 23 December 2013 at 3:48 pm #

    Hi Chris,
I would love to work there in the fall but was wondering what the average pay was for the Fall, and Fall Advantages programs? Do they vary based on the job you hold or are they pretty consistent across the board?

  51. Eric S 24 December 2013 at 3:52 pm #

    Hi
I graduated college this year can i still apply for the college program? or the professional?

  52. Erin S 30 December 2013 at 1:28 pm #

    Hello,
I am hoping to apply for the Disney College Program for fall of 2014, however my family has vacation plans for Christmas. Are fall interns allowed to go home for Christmas or are they required to stay through January? I would need the week after Christmas off for a family cruise. Is that something that can be worked around?

  53. Ruby B 9 January 2014 at 1:20 am #

    Hi :)

I am graduating with an Associates Degree in May from a Community College in NYC. I will be going to another school to continue my education and pursue a Bachelors Degree. I wanted to apply for the DCP for Fall 2014. My problem is that my next school’s applications start in February as well, and I’m not notified of a decision until April. Can I still apply for the Fall? I’m not sure if I meet the requirements.

Thank you for your time :)

  54. Jordyn N 17 January 2014 at 9:27 am #

I am a sophomore at a community college in Kansas City, Missouri. I would like to apply for Fall of 2014 although my GPA right now is not acceptable for my schools requirements. I am only .2 points away though. If I get apply when the applications are available and I get my GPA up enough to be acceptable in early May would I still be able to be considered for the Fall semester or should I just wait until the Spring semester?
    Thanks!

  55. Karishma S 22 January 2014 at 11:19 am #

Hello, I hope you are having a great new year so far!

I have a quick question. It is difficult for me to take time off from college, however I do receive 5 weeks off for winter break: for example, I have vacation from December 21, 2013-January 26, 2014 this year. Is it possible for college students like myself to audition to work as a character performer during this winter break in a subsequent year?

    Thank you for your time.

  56. Becki M 25 January 2014 at 10:10 am #

    Hello! My name is Becki.
I have wanted to do the Disney College Program for a long time! I have two semesters when I can do the program.
My fear is that I will apply and not get accepted. How hard is it to get accepted into the program and how can I make my chances of getting in higher?
    Thank you so much!

  57. Madison B 30 January 2014 at 8:17 am #

    Hello,

I would like to apply for the Fall Advantage program for 2014. Is it true that you may only apply once every 6 months or is it once every application cycle? I am afraid that I will not hit the 6 month mark if I try to reapply for this Fall!

  58. Madison B 30 January 2014 at 2:34 pm #

    Chris,

I was accepted for Spring 2014 for food and beverage, but had to decline my offer for unfortunate circumstances. Does this mean that I my web based interview will not be considered at all?

  59. Jonathon K 31 January 2014 at 2:52 pm #

I’ve read that people under the age of 21 upon arrival will be placed in the Wellness Center and people over the age of 21 will live in places such as Vista Way. I would turn 21 a month into the program and I was wondering if it would be at all possible to switch housing after my birthday

  60. Corinne R 5 February 2014 at 12:19 am #

Hi! I’m an alumna of the DCP and I was wondering if summer alumna program will be happening this year, and if it is, around when would the alumni be contacted to be told that they are eligible to participate in the program?

    Thank you!

  61. Mary L 5 February 2014 at 9:20 pm #

    Hello Chris,
I plan to apply for the DCP the semester that I graduate. If not admitted, I would likely return to my university to take additional classes the following semester as an alternative plan. In this case, could I apply for the college program again if enrolled in undergrad or graduate classes, even if I am not pursuing another degree?
    Thank you,
    Mary

  62. Ayanna B 6 February 2014 at 3:36 pm #

    Hi
I really want to do the Fall Advantage program, but I am going on a trip that will last until June 13th. What is the lastest that I can choose to start my program in June?

    thanks so much.

  63. Sandra K 8 February 2014 at 12:40 am #

I just set up my phone interview for next week. How long do the phone interviews typically last? Just wondering! Thanks!

  64. Jennifer C 10 February 2014 at 9:14 pm #

    Hello!
Since my school is on a quarter system I would love to apply for the Spring Advantage Quarter program in the fall.
    1) Are DCP quarter participants still offered housing during this program and are the same roles available?
    2) Is it any more likely or less likely that students who apply to the quarter program are offered a job? I imagine a lot less people people apply to this as opposed to Spring or Spring Advantage.
    Thanks!

  65. Meaghan H 22 February 2014 at 11:43 pm #

    Hi Chris,

I was wondering why the spring program in California is longer than the program in Florida? I am graduating a semester early but was looking to do the spring program in Anaheim after I complete my classes. However, I still have to walk at graduation in May. I thought the California program was 4 months as well.

hi, i was wondering, i put my application in the first week of app week in feb. the response i got back was that id receive an update on the status of my application no later then april 18th 2014, i noticed also that the deadline to apply/interview was from feb.-mar. does this mean that im more then likely not getting into the program? ive been pretty bummed ive been waiting since the last casting call to apply so im a little worried on whats going to happen next. any way you could re assure me that its not a for sure decline?

  67. Nuvia R 28 February 2014 at 10:05 pm #

    Hi Chris,

I’m in the same page with Mark, but I wanted to ask you that if being a freshman in college had to do anything with the requirements of being accepted? I’m currently a freshman, but by the time the College program starts in the fall I’ll be a second year student. I’m a little sad too because I applied the second day and I have not received any other updates in my application.

  68. Alexa Z 16 March 2014 at 11:54 pm #

    Hi Chris,

I applied for the Fall Program, however I was accepted for the Fall Advantage Program. Is there any way that I would be able to change it for the regular Fall Program? I’m very nervous about being away from home for that long. I’m going to accept the offer either way, I’m just curious as to whether or not I would be able to change something like that.

  69. Katie D 26 March 2014 at 8:27 pm #

I have a question about end dates and I hope it isn’t too confusing!
I am actually looking to apply for spring 2015, but I am a planner haha and am hoping to have the info I need to set all my plans etc for next year

I am currently in a normal semester college but the type of program I am in I need to transfer to another school to finish the degree. I am interested in Orlando based schools to finish. The school I will be going to is a trimester schedule and begins May 5th in the summer. I am hoping to do a College Program right before I start school in Fl (so spring 2015), are there any program dates that would accommodate that schedule? Like do you think any move out dates would be that early in May? Would interviewers take into consideration i am transferring to a trimester school?

I was wondering about the paperwork you fill out after your phone interview. I filled my paperwork out and faxed it over and got a call that I had to fix a few things. I fixed those things and faxed them back over but never received any confirmation about them receiving my new paperwork. Is this something I email them about? My dashboard says, “In Progress”. Thank you in advance for your time.

    Hi,
I was wanting to apply for the spring 2015 internship. Other than applying online and going through the interviews in September 2014, is there a way to audition to be a character performer? You can do that, and be in the disney college program, right?

  72. Ash C 24 April 2014 at 1:17 pm #

    Hello,

I have been interested in the Disney College Program for quite some time now, but I am confused as to how I would qualify for it. I was a business student at a college for a semester, but I am no longer there now, and I know that you need to be enrolled in school to apply. So my question is, that if I was enrolled in one class at my community college, would I qualify to apply for the DCP?

    Hello!

I just learned about this program and I got excited! But browsing through the different blogs it seems I have missed all the dead lines for 2014 applications and I really want to have the opportunity to apply for this.

I already subscribed for the newsletter here, but is there a chance for me to apply for august? If not, how do I know when they start accepting submissions for the Disney College Program?

    Hello!

Waiting for you answer, Thank you!

    Hi,

I am looking into doing the Disney Program after I graduate. It’s a couple years away but I will be graduating in May of 2016, and really want to do the Fall Advantage right after I graduate. I can do this right? Since at the time of my interview I will be enrolled in classes? Or do I need to look into going to a local community college to take some classes?

    Thanks!!

    Hi,

Many of my family friends have done this program and absolutely loved it! I’m applying for Spring advantage in September to hopefully be a performer! I’m very excited to do this program!

Hi,i really like this program, but i don´t know how to apply because i lived in México, i just have finished my high school and im going to start the university in January, so, i really want to know if i can apply for summer or fall, and what i need, and if i need to be in school or something thanks.

    Hi,
I am looking to apply for the Spring Advantage. When should I expect to see the application go live? I see that it says late August.

    Thanks!

    Hello!

I did the college program for two consecutive terms from 2012-2013. I plan on doing it again for Spring however, In June I also applied for a regular part-time merchandise position. My application is still in the “submission” phase and I have not been asked to do any sort of WBI or interview. Since it hasn’t been six months, will I be unable to apply for the DCP? I’m uncertain with all of the different circumstances. Thank you!

Hello, I wanted to applied for spring 2015 but I have a restricted status. Would they ask me about during the phone interview or would i be contacted via email when I apply? I have a steady full-time job for over a year, I hope that helps. Thank you!

    Hi,

I am wanting to apply for the Spring term at the Disneyland Resort. I was wondering for this term can participants reside in the provided housing or do they need to provide their own housing arrangements?

    Thanks!

    Hey there!
I’m a DCP Alumni (Spring Advantage 2013 extended into the fall program) and I’m looking into the Summer Alumni program for DLR. Three quick questions-
Is that opportunity available every summer?
What is the eligibility criteria other than being an Alum?
If you participate in that program, can you apply to become a campus representative during your time there?
    Thanks so much!

  83. Kelli L 12 August 2014 at 2:42 am #

    Hi,

After you are accepted into Spring Term at the Disneyland Resort and if you find an awesome roommate/s is there a way to request living with them in sponsored housing?

    Thanks!

  84. Krista B 14 August 2014 at 11:27 am #

    Hello,

My name is Krista and I am intending on applying to the Fall 2015 program for either park. I am also hoping to go to the D23 Expo Aug 14-16 2015, would that be at the time I would need to head out for the DCP or does the DCP start later on in August? Havent gotten my tickets yet for D23 Expo, and just want to check that it wouldn’t clash with DCP.

    Thank you :)

  85. Janessa C 15 August 2014 at 2:54 pm #

Hi there. :) I was interested in beginning the spring term, but I was wondering when exactly would registration be open for that session.

  86. Hannah M 23 August 2014 at 12:52 pm #

    Hello!
I can’t wait to apply for the DCP! Currently I am a sophomore at a community college and will be transferring on to a university. I would like to do the Fall*** program for the Disneyland Resort. I am wondering when I could be eligible for this. Could I apply at the end of my school year in May and participate when it starts in August? I know you have to be enrolled in school right before you go. So maybe I could take a summer class so I would technically still be enrolled? I would prefer to do the Fall instead of the Spring programs. I hope that makes some sense! Thank you!

    Hello,
My friend and I would love to do the Disney Internship. Except we are just learning about it, and don’t quite understand what we have to do. We are both college students at the moment, and we were wondering if housing is included, and how can we apply for the internship. I heard of the Disney representative, but sadly my school doesn’t have one. If there is a application we have to fill out, where would we find it at?

P.S. Thank you for your time and answering our questions, we appreciate it.

  88. Daphne B 6 September 2014 at 9:50 pm #

    Hi there!

I applied for the Disney College Program, had my phone interview, and listed Spring as my first choice. I was planning on transferring to another college next year, and wanted to be back by summer to complete my 30 units which is why I only wanted to do the minimum amount of months. However, now I feel like if I get accepted, I should just enjoy the program and take in as much as I can. Is there any way I can change my first choice to Spring Advantage? Or should I just wait to see if I get accepted and apply for an extension? Thanks for the help in advance!

  89. Elizabeth R 13 September 2014 at 12:44 pm #

    Hey Chris!

I have been in submission since the applications come out, but is it still possible to come out of submission by November 17th?
Also, I applied for a Floral Hostess position, as a back up, and I have a face-to-face interview on the 26th. I read that the web based interview is for all applications, but would the Disney College Program see the face-to-face interview information, or is that completely separate?
To work at Disney has been my dream since I was five years old, and now I am so excited that I have the opportunity! :)

    Hello,

So I have a couple of questions, first off, if I have already done the program does that increase or decrease the chances of getting in again? Second, I graduate next March and I’m planning on applying for the fall advantage, can I apply for professional internship following the program or does it have to be right out of college?

    Thanks-Jane

    Hi,

I am an American citizen, but have been living overseas. I will be moving back to America next year, and am intending to enroll in a certificate program at a local community college before applying for the Disney College Program

I would like to ask if I would be a suitable candidate considering my circumstances:

    1. I did not graduate from an American high school and have spent most of my life abroad
    2. I will be enrolled in a certificate program at a community college, not an associate’s or bachelor’s degree

    Thank you!

  94. Laura F 15 October 2014 at 12:51 am #

When is the application deadline? Like, when do the applications close?

  95. Madeline M 25 October 2014 at 8:19 pm #

    Hello!,
I think this question has been answered before, but I am having trouble finding it again. If we accept a college program offer but later find out that we are offered a professional internship position that we applied for, is it possible to switch to take the internship instead? What would happen with the fees we paid for the college program if this were the case?
    Thanks!

Hello, my name is Jin and I plan on applying for the fall advantage at Walt Disney World. I am going to WDW this winter with my family for vacation and I was wondering if there would be someone I could meet from the Disney College Program so I can introduce myself. Thank you very much.

    Hi Chris,
I had my phone interview on September 25 and I haven’t heard anything since. Is this normal? I’ve frequently check my dashboard but don’t have any messages there either. They told me on the phone I would probably hear back in around 2 weeks but its been much longer than that now.

    Thanks,

    Hi, Chris!

I’m planning to apply for the Fall 2015 session and I’d love to do the Fall Advantage session. However, I have a family event already scheduled in June 2015 and I’m worried the start date will conflict with this event. If I got accepted for the Fall Advantage program and found there was a conflict, would I be able to start immediately following the conflict, or should I just apply for the regular Fall session?

    Thank you!!

I am a Mexican citizen but attend college full time in the United States with a visa F1. I am interested in attending one of your programs but it could only be during the summer time, when I don’t have school.I don’t know which program would be best for me. I would appreciate your help to lead me to a program that fits best for me and I can still apply for the summer of 2015.
    Thank you

    Hey Chris!
I am a multiple time applier, and I was lucky enough to get a WBI when I applied for Spring Advantage 2015. I do have some confusion though. I passed my WBI and went through my PI (sadly I was put into no longer in consideration, but always next time!) but I have been getting mixed answers on when I can apply this coming semester for Fall 2015. I got my WBI part way through the semester last time (around 9-23-14), during a time some people call the Submissioner Exodus. Some people are saying I have to wait until six months after I did my WBI or else I will be auto NLIC, and others are telling me that I can apply right away and just skip the WBI this semester all together due to it being within 6 months of me passing the WBI. I would really appreciate some clarification, I want to be able to apply as soon as possible!
    Thanks!

I have a question concerning the Fall 2015 program. My daughter graduates from high school next week, January 2015 and will be attending 2 summer sessions at her college starting Mary 2015. She should have a semester worth of credits by August 2015. Would she be able to apply for the WDW Fall 2015 program this spring?

    Hello,
I am a Disney college program alumnus and I graduated college in May 2013 and did the fall 2013 DCP. I will be attending college this spring and I will be taking one class. I would be considered a non degree student but I get credit for the class. I was hoping to be able to apply for the fall advantage DCP but was wondering if I would be eligible and was hoping you could possibly clarify it for me. Thank you

I’m moving to LA from Indiana this year but a quick question. If I am applying to the Disneyland CP, am I required to live in company sponsored housing as specified at the top of this blog during the Fall? If I put on my application that I am interested in both Fall and Fall Advantage but need to live off of company housing, how do I accommodate this? Am I only allowed to apply for Fall Advantage?

  107. Rin E 17 January 2015 at 10:33 pm #

    Hi Chris!
Quick question: is work experience a vital key to being accepted? I’ve done a lot of volunteer work that technically has been “work” I’ve just never have been paid for it.

  108. Jamee H 20 January 2015 at 11:56 pm #

    Hi there,

I had a question about the start dates of the upcoming Fall 2015 program. Due to a commitment at my college, I volunteer to work the first week of classes for the incoming freshman to help plan events and make their transition to college life easier. This wouldn’t be over until September 4th, so the earliest I could make it to either site would be September 5th. Is this an issue, or something that can be worked around in terms of move in and training? Thanks so much for any and all advice!

  109. Joseph P 21 January 2015 at 1:46 am #

Hey! What are the educational requirements with current colleges to be able to apply for DCP?. I’m asking because if I were to take another semester at my current college, it would interfere with the DCP start date. I am an active student with my community college but did not enroll in any classes this semester or last semester. Do I qualify or would I have to apply to DCP while in college?
    Thank You

  110. Whitney O 21 January 2015 at 3:59 pm #

    Hello!

    I have two questions:

First, I am currently a college sophomore and am trying to determine whether a potential summer job will end in time for me to attend the Fall program at Walt Disney World (if the planets and stars align and I get accepted into the program, that is). My summer job would end around August 23, and I’d still need a couple days before I could arrive in Florida. This page states that the Fall program at Disney World begins in mid-late August–is there an official date the program begins? Or is mid-late August a general arrival range for program participants?

Second, between volunteer work or work experience, which is valued more in the application process? Or are they considered equally? To pay for college I have had to work both in the summers and during the school years, which hasn’t left much free time for volunteer work. I have done some volunteering, but would it be beneficial to do more before sending in the application?

    Thank you for your time,

    Whitney

  111. Joseph P 22 January 2015 at 5:05 am #

How many units do you have to be taking at a college to enroll? What if I’m only taking one class worth 3 units? I couldn’t find it on the overview page.
    Thank You.

Could I know exact date of Fall program? When does it start?
When do I have to arrive there in florida?

Hello! A few questions, and I apologize if I should be asking these under a different post.

I participated in the College Program for Fall 2014 and recently completed it. At the time I did not think extending was the correct choice for me and I’m back at home now, but I’m looking to apply again for the Fall Advantage 2015.

I was wondering if being an alumni effects my application in any way. Would my previous record card for Fall 2014 be looked at? Would my application be worth more/less? And is there any reason I wouldn’t be able to apply for Fall advantage 2015?

Thank you so much for your time!!

  115. Elizabeth C 26 January 2015 at 4:35 pm #

    Hello,

I was wondering if there was a more specific date stating when the Fall 2015 program starts. I have a summer job lined up that goes until the 15th of August, if I were to get selected I would hope the program would start after that!

My name is Fatima and I am from Argentina. I am interested in this program but I have a little problem: The summer break in Argentina starts in December and ends in April aprox. And I won’t be able to be working an entire season. Do I have a chance to apply for the job? (For example: going and working in December, January, February and March) or the only way is working an entire season?

    Hi Chris!
Here’s my situation- I’m a 2013 DCP alumni, and I had applied to the DLR summer alumni program a week or so ago. I already had my phone interview, and I feel really good about how it went! However, I know it’s very competitive, so I also just applied for the WDW summer alumni program, just in case. Does that hurt my chances of getting the one I already interviewed for?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Chris!!
I have a situation in college. I applied for the Fall Advantage as my first option but in my college they just let me go to Disney in Fall (august). I explain them why I wanna do the FA and they told my to do what ever I want but they will not give me credits (I dont really care that much about credits) My only situation here is, it would be a problem with Disney if my college dont approve the FA…??

  121. Victoria H 28 February 2015 at 1:57 pm #

I was accepted to the program for Fall Advantage yesterday. Something has come up for the summer where I’m now only able to participate in the Fall program. I think there was some miscommunication because I thought that if you were accepted then you would be able to choose which of the two programs you wanted, so that’s why I asked to be considered for both. It’s a weekend, so I can’t call until Monday. I’m wondering what are my chances, if any, of being able to switch to just the Fall program?

    Good evening Kevin,
My name is Marisol Zamora. After the phone interview I received a notice that hiring decisions will be made by April 20, 2015, does that mean i did not get into the program? Or how long does it take after the phone interview to know if you got in?

Thank you for all the help.

    Hi, Chris!

I was just accepted for the Fall 2015 season (Yay!)but I was only given one option for my arrival date- August 17th. My best friend is getting married on the 22nd and I’m the MOH so I really should be there. I saw that there is an option to reschedule the arrival date but I am worried that I will mess everything up if I try. If I click to reschedule will there be more options available?

Thanks in advance for your help, I appreciate it.
    -Sam

  125. Chris C 23 March 2015 at 4:19 pm #

    Hi Sam,
There are still many offers left to extend over the next 3-4 weeks so there will be dates available for those offers. Dates appear as a real-time listing. If there are openings on a day, they will be available for selection. If a date is at capacity, it will not be visible as an option. It is extremely difficult for any of us in the office to say what is currently available because it can change in an instant.

Potential date conflicts are handled on a case-by-case basis by the Recruiting team. Please send an email to wdw.college.recruiting@disney.com explaining your situation.

I tried to reset my password but I didn’t receive any recovery emails, so I tried to make a new account and it said I’m already registered under my email? I’ve checked spam and trash and I can’t find anything. I also know that applying has closed so even if I apply with a new email I can’t. Please help, thank you

If I apply to the Spring Advantage and get accepted how does the professional internship work? Would it be bette to apply for the Spring Internship instead of the Advantage if I plan to apply into the Professional Internship. And what are the dates for the Professional is it similar to the College Program? I would like to do both and want to get the best experience possible without making any complications. Thank you
