After what may have seemed like an eternal wait, you’ve finally started your Disney College or International Program. Though you may be a pro at the Disney point and locating Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars, you may still have some important questions. This is where your Disney Service Center (or Programs Office) comes in.
Each of the four Disney Housing complexes in Orlando has a Disney Service Center, while in Anaheim, similar services are offered at the Programs Office. Each is a “one-stop shop” to set you up for success – especially regarding the “living” portion of your program.
What can your Service Center (or Programs Office) do for you, you may ask? Here are some examples:
1. We loan equipment.
Part of a healthy living environment is keeping your apartment clean. We have items such as vacuums, mops and brooms that you can check out at no cost! We also can provide some basic tools.
2. We assist with roommate relations.
The amazing thing about participating in a Disney Program is that you live with people from many different cultures. With that, some miscommunication could potentially arise. The Disney Service Center or Programs Office can schedule apartment meetings to make sure that all roommates understand the expectations. We also provide additional resources such as suggested cleaning schedules.
3. We help with apartment maintenance.
Is there something in your apartment that isn’t working? You can report any maintenance issues to us by either stopping by or calling the Service Center. If you’re in Anaheim, you can submit your maintenance requests through EDU. Any after-hours emergency maintenance issues – such as a broken AC unit or overflowing water – can be called into Security.
4. We have computers (Orlando only) and printers (both coasts).
Whether you have a last-minute homework assignment you must to complete, you need to print your complimentary tickets, or you just want to surf the internet, we have computers available for your use in Orlando. Vista Way’s computer lab is part of the Disney Learning Center, which is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The computer labs at Chatham Square, The Commons and Patterson Court are open 24 hours a day.
Although there is no computer lab at the Programs Office in Anaheim, the staff can help you print a document.
5. We can answer general questions.
The Service Center and Programs Offices Specialists are here to assist you with whatever you may need. We want you to have a successful program, so we are here to give you the resources you’ll need. We can answer any questions you may have regarding the program or The Walt Disney Company in general. If we don’t have the answer, we will find someone who does!
6. We can offer entertainment!
Both the Disney Service Center and Programs Office provide recreational items you may borrow. This includes basketballs, soccer balls and more. The Disney Programs Office in Anaheim can provide board games, books and loaner movies. Although these services are not provided by the Service Centers in Orlando, the Disney Learning Center at Vista Way provides the same entertainment.
Each Disney Service Center in Orlando is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Disneyland Programs Office (located in room 300 of Carnegie Plaza) is open Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Please stop by and say hello!
