The Disney College Program has two main seasons: fall and spring. Both are absolutely outstanding experiences, but the fall holds a special place in my heart. With so many fun festivals and events to choose from, there is truly no better way to celebrate the seasons changing!
Food and Wine Festival
The Food and Wine Festival is in its 23rd season this year, running from Aug. 30 until Nov. 12. With a record 35 marketplace booths being set up around World Showcase, there is an endless number of tasty treats you absolutely cannot miss. With 75 days of unique food and drink, there’s something for everyone.
From Nov. 22 until Dece. 30, Epcot offers the Candlelight Processional, which is a beautiful display of the story of Christmas, narrated by a celebrity. Past narrators have included Neil Patrick Harris, Whoopi Goldberg, Jodi Benson, and more! This event features a large choir (which you may be able to audition for), an orchestra, and a truly amazing experience you can’t get anywhere else.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
If you’re like me, Halloween is one of your favorite holidays! Disney has only helped with that because experiencing Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite event of the year. This year, this special-ticketed event will run from Aug. 17 – Oct. 31, giving you tons of time to experience this monstrously marvelous party. From the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular to the Boo-To-You Parade to the special HalloWishes, this is one in-park event you cannot miss.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
When you’re done with trick-or-treating for the Halloween season, the holidays pop up right around the corner! With sparkling holiday lights and decorations, delightful seasonal treats and eats, along with special character experiences, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a spectacular way to enjoy one of the most enchanting holiday seasons.
New Year’s Eve
How many of your friends can say they get to ring in their New Year at Walt Disney World Resort?! Whether experiencing the magic through a guest’s eyes or viewing the fireworks from the bridge of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, New Year’s Eve is a magical experience for everyone involved.
Participants of the fall season of the Disney College Program are eligible to attend Winter Formal! This event is held at one of the resorts and includes a buffet, characters, a huge dance floor, and many more fun surprises. Get ready to dance the night away in what may be the best end-of-program celebration!
The Disney College Program is a great program, and both seasons offer exciting experiences for all participants. Which season is right for you?
