Incorporate exercise into your week.
Whether you do a 20-minute run or a full-body workout, it’s always good to stay active. If you live in Disney Housing, you can utilize your complex’s workout facility, open 24 hours a day!
Look for healthy alternatives for meals.
Many of the work locations on property offer healthy food options in their cast cafeterias. Instead of grabbing a burger, sub it for a salad. Bringing your own lunch is another way to stay healthy while also saving money. If you’re a Florida-based program participant, you can also purchase plenty of fresh food and fruit at The Grid, located at The Commons!
Continue to enjoy delicious Disney snacks, but in moderation.
Churros and Dole Whip and Mickey pretzels, oh my! Disney Parks and Resorts are home to some of the tastiest treats, but too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. Make sure to limit yourself on park snacks.
Participate in Be Well activities.
Disney offers many opportunities for cast members to stay in shape through “Be Well” events. Whether you sign-up for the Be Well Cast and Family 5K Fun Run or start your morning with yoga in front of the Cinderella Castle, there will be plenty of offerings throughout your program!
Make time for relaxation.
While it’s important to prioritize exercise, you should also take some time to relax. Stay in and watch a movie. Go to the pool and swim. The possibilities are endless! Just make sure that you take time to give yourself a break every now and then. You’ll feel refreshed and ready to make magic for guests!
Focusing on your health while on your program will contribute to your happiness and overall well-being. Make sure to take some time for yourself, and most importantly, enjoy your program!
