It’s officially the first arrivals season of the new decade, and we are so excited to be welcoming our new participants! Whether you are a new arrival and currently settling in or you are arriving in the coming weeks, here are some major things you should know about to set yourself up for success on your Disney Program!
- Download the bus transportation app.
We provide transportation for all of our on-site program participants. These buses travel all across Walt Disney World® Resort property, as well as places such as the grocery store and United States Post Office. So you have access to all of our transportation route schedules, get ahead of the game by downloading the “Crystal Rider” app from your device’s app store!
- Register for one of our new complex tours.
Something new that we are offering for our arrivals are in-depth complex tours where we tell you all about your new home and what it has to offer. This is a great way to learn about all of the amenities and resources you have available to you while living in Disney Housing! - Take advantage of our Disney Program offerings and events.
Our Education team works hard to bring you plenty of quality Disney Program offerings. These range from Disney Park excursions to guest speakers and professional courses. We are also now facilitating “Welcome to your Disney Program” offerings, so there are a large variety of unique seminars that you can attend your first week!
As soon as you arrive, you have access to the many events our events team hosts, too. From fun welcome events featuring characters and food to various trips around the Orlando area and so much more, there is an event for everyone. Be sure to check out your events calendar upon arrival in the Communicator that you receive. These events are a great way to meet people and take advantage of everything Florida has to offer!
- Utilize our 24-hour computer labs and work/study spaces.
Each of our four housing complexes has a 24-hour computer lab. You are free to use the computers as well as scan and print any documents you may need. At Vista Way and Patterson Court, we have 24-hour lobbies where you can either study, watch movies or play one of the many board games we have with friends. If you are wondering more about what these spaces have to offer, Ashley from our Communications team wrote all about it: Work/Study Spaces
- Your Disney Service Center is your one-stop-shop.
Each Housing complex has a Disney Service Center. Our College and International Housing Specialists are there to answer any questions or assist with any concerns you may have about your program. The Service Center also provides a variety of loaner equipment such as cleaning equipment, recreation supplies and various tools. Be sure to stop by to say hello and grab a free cookie!
