Perks of the program: Florida edition

As a new Disney College Program participant or professional intern, you’re probably aware that cast members receive free admission to all four Walt Disney World® Resort theme parks, in addition to both parks in Anaheim, CA. But did you know that program participants based in Florida are also eligible for a host of other perks and discounts? This quick guide will take you through some of our most exciting benefits so that you can start planning how to spend free time during your program!

Once you’ve made it through the touch point with your self-admission pass, you have a number of discount options to take advantage of in-park. Hungry? Apply a cast discount of 20-40% at over 100 food and beverage locations throughout the resort. You can find a complete list of current food and beverage discounts on The Hub, our cast web portal. You’ll also receive a 20% discount on merchandise (including online at the shopDisney), which can be applied to everything from Pandora jewelry to coffee mugs to Sprit Jerseys.

Speaking of merchandise, an onsite store called Cast Connection sells surplus and discontinued merchandise at a reduced cost to cast members. You can even purchase discounted groceries! All cast, including our programs participants, get an additional 10% off on merchandise items and can bring up to 6 guests while shopping.

Another spot you’ll definitely need to visit is Company D inside Disney University. Apart from selling cast lanyards, pins and exclusive merchandise, Company D is where you’ll find discounted tickets for special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. You can also purchase one-day theme park tickets at a 10% discount and water park tickets at a 50% discount.

You might be planning to spend most of your downtime in the parks, but did you know we also get incredible cast rates on other Disney experiences? You can check cast sail dates for Disney Cruise Line on The Hub, as well as offers for Aulani- A Disney Resort & Spa, Adventures by Disney, and Disney’s Hilton Head Island and Vero Beach Resorts. You can even save on tickets to Disney on Broadway shows!

Have family visiting or just want to enjoy a quiet staycation? Cast members also receive discounts on select rooms at Disney resort hotels. Rates are updated frequently on The Hub, and discounts range seasonally. Throughout your program, you’ll also have the opportunity to enter Backstage Magic sweepstakes for resort stays, movie screenings, backstage tours and more!

Disney Internships and Programs participants are eligible for tons of discounts outside of Disney property as well, including food, retail, airlines and more! Check out the Incredible Discounts Directory available in print and on The Hub, which is updated twice a year. Keep an eye out for announcements about Cast Days at Disney Springs, which occur several times a year and include discounts at a variety of non-Disney retail locations

From free cast events to guest passes and more, there’s no end to the magic you’ll get to take part in as a Disney cast member. Take advantage of cast-exclusive offerings to add a little extra pixie dust to your program!
