Once upon a time…in 1991, Vanessa started working at a Disney Store in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Little did she know that her summer job was the start of her eventful career with The Walt Disney company. After four years, she moved to Gainesville, Fla. to work as a part of the opening team for the new Disney Store there.
With her experiences, Vanessa was given an opportunity join the Walt Disney World Resort family and open a new store located at the then-Downtown Disney, selling Disney-themed household items including towels, bedding and furniture.
After working a variety of roles at Walt Disney World Resort, Vanessa’s journey lead to supporting areas including the Disney College Program, the Disney Culinary Program and Casting Marketing. For the past few years, she has been a coordinator for Disney International Programs, and notably, last year, Vanessa celebrated 25 years working with the company!
Working as coordinator for Disney International Programs can be quite a busy day. As she says, “No two days look alike!” She supports one of the recruiters, Sue, who recruits for the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway and Turkey. She is also the lead coordinator ensuring the arrivals process goes as smoothly as possible.
