This upcoming April, International Recruiter, Sue, and team will be heading over to Toronto to conduct interviews for the Canada Cultural Representative Program.  The International Recruitment team is looking for candidates with food and beverage experience.  These opportunities have made a difference in several of our participants’ lives!  Here are some things they had to say…

“I am glad I had the opportunity to work in a Walt Disney World signature restaurant, like Le Cellier. It is a very fast-paced working environment and details are very important. You need to always be focused and make anything in your power to offer guests an amazing experience. It can be stressful sometimes, but at the end of the day, when everything comes into place, it is also very rewarding. I am lucky to have a great team of [Cultural Representative Program participants] with me to make this experience even better.”

“Working in the restaurant, I love being able to interact with guests from all around the world! Not only do I take great pride and enjoyment in sharing my culture and food with them, but it is a pleasure getting to know guests on a personal level and learning more about them and where they’re from.”

“My experiences here in the Disney International Program have been incredible; each day I learn and grow not only in my role as a cast member but also in strides with my personal life. From teaching guests young and old about Canadian culture through trivia or discussing the origins of the traditional Canadian dish of poutine, we have the unique opportunity to be a part of an experience unlike any other. Canadian culture is not only something I am proud to share, but something I’m glad that Disney and our guests enjoy celebrating with me as well. I look forward to the magic I get to make for the rest of my program here at Disney!”

“I never could have imagined picking up everything and moving to Florida for a whole year, let alone Disney. I have met people who I know will be lifelong friends and gained valuable experience that I will be able to use in future jobs. Being able to represent my country and interacting with guests from all around the world is wonderful; it’s something that makes me smile every day. Not many people can say they have roommates from Hong Kong, Italy and Norway. I still to this day just think how crazy this opportunity is and how happy I am that I get to experience it, Disney magic is real folks.”

“Working for Disney as a Cultural Representative has been the greatest decision of my life. This program has given me insight on what it means to be a Canadian and what that means globally. I wake up every morning excited to share my passion for Disney with guests eager to learn about Canada. This program is life changing; it will be one of the most challenging years of your life but the most rewarding years.”
