This Halloween season, our California-based participants didn’t experience any tricks, but there were plenty of spooktacular treats.
We’ve reached the halfway point of our fall program at Disneyland® Resort and we couldn’t be more proud of our participants. They’ve worked incredibly hard and play a big role in creating happiness and magical moments for our guests every day.
So far, they’ve learned so many things about our day-today operation, took several backstage tours of popular attractions and shows, gained valuable skills and met a ton of lifelong friends. We’ve even hosted Career Development Workshops to set them up for success and hosted important networking events to boost their confidence and get them to start thinking about their professional career after the program.
Last week, they also learned that nobody throws a party like Disney – especially during the Halloween season!
Every program, we host a mid-program celebration and we honor our participants with a party unlike any other they’ve ever experienced. It’s our way to thank them for their hard work and dedication and to celebrate all of their accomplishments.
This season, we rented out Pixar Pier after-hours and to celebrate the spirit of the Halloween season, everyone was challenged to Disney Bound in their favorite Disney-Pixar characters. Imagine having Pixar Pier with 350 of your closest friends. It was…well, Pixar-perfect.
We gave out plenty of prizes, handed out hundreds of hot dogs and churros and filled the air with laughter as everyone danced the night away. There was even a special appearance by some pretty incredible friends. And in case you’re wondering, of course the attractions were open! We’re just a short drive from Hollywood, but at our celebrations, everyone’s a VIP and a celebrity.
The second half of their program will fly by and it won’t be long until their adventure is over and they’re all heading in different directions. But no matter where they go or what they do after the program, they’ll never forget that frightfully fun night under the stars at Pixar Pier.
