Nothing beats mom’s homemade cooking, but here in East Coast Disney Housing, we like to think we come pretty close with our variety of food offerings. There are several opportunities and conveniences where participants can shop for food, diversify their appetites, learn new recipes or even let food come straight to them. A dash of The Grid, Farmers Market, food trucks, Asian market trips and pizza delivery are all our essential ingredients.
The Grid located at The Commons is marking its one-year anniversary as the resident convenience store. Whether someone is looking for a breakfast bite or a midnight snack, The Grid has all the necessities to keep a hungry appetite at bay. In an effort to keep things cool, healthy and fresh, The Grid innovatively pushes the makings of sandwiches, salads, wraps and snacks to truly tingle one’s taste buds and focus on mindful eating.
Not only does The Grid do a fabulous job of filling our empty stomachs with its outstanding snacks, lunch items, milkshakes, coffee and more, it also offers a variety of products and shipping services to assist with your everyday household needs.
Old MacDonald may not live here, but each month a Farmer’s Market, brought to you by The Grid, comes to The Commons. Delicious, freshly-picked produce fills the stands as well as the shoppers’ stomachs. Taking things to the next level, the Farmers Market is complete with live cooking demonstrations, recipes and samples for you to savor.
Instead of a drive-thru, we have drive-to-you food trucks. About once a week, food trucks fuel our hungry tummies with new and different offerings such as tacos, burgers, fries, sandwiches, coffee, cupcakes and more.
A few times a month, foodies have the opportunity to spice things up with one of our trips to the largest Asian market in Central Florida. The market offers a large selection of seafood, meats, rice blends, noodles, teas, sauces, snacks, desserts, candies and more.
So, is your mouth watering yet? Here at Disney Housing, we are always in a good mood from our food! Speaking of food, I think I will join my dear friend, Winnie the Pooh, in saying, “I’m so rumbly in my tumbly. Time to munch an early luncheon. Time for something sweet!”
