Let’s say it is your day off from work and you don’t want to spend another day hanging out by the pool. So, what do you do? Working for Disney has many rewards. Being a cast member has many great benefits (subject to change and may vary) for each participant depending on which program you have chosen to participate. I am going to discuss these benefits and great discounts for those who are participating on the Florida program.
So where do we start? Let’s start with a cast member favorite: complimentary Theme Park admission during regular operating hours when you are not scheduled to work! Disney College Program cast members receive a Main Entrance Pass that allows them to admit as many as three friends or family members into our 4 major Theme Parks various times during their Program. You can spend the day with your family and friends riding the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, exploring Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, enjoying the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, riding the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park or a meet and greet with everyone’s favorite, Mickey Mouse!! Just a friendly reminder, you will want to check the cast block out dates listed on the cast tab of the HUB prior to admitting your guests in the park. Cast block out dates are subject to last minute changes so you will want to check the day prior to any admission to the park to avoid any disruptions the day of your visit!
If complimentary Theme Park admission wasn’t good enough, Disney College Program cast members may be eligible to book discounted Resort Hotel stays for themselves, their family or their friends during select times out of the year. This offer applies to the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina.
Do you like to shop? Would you like to have a nice lunch at Epcot with a view of the Eiffel Tower or belly dance during dinner in Morocco? Take advantage of our special cast discounts in merchandise and food and beverage that range from 20%- 40% during specific times of the year! Don’t forget to visit Cast Connection and Property Control for great deals and discounted merchandise. Another great resource is the 2014 Incredible Discount Book or the Cast Classifieds which contains discounts at local/national non Disney businesses.
Have you always wanted to go on a cruise with Disney Cruise Line? Enjoy cast sale date discounts throughout the year. Set sail on a cruise to the Bahamas or Western/Eastern Caribbean with a stop at Disney’s Castaway Cay. Sail dates and eligibility requirements are located on the cast tab on the HUB and do vary throughout the year.
With so many great options and discounts, there is always something fun to do at Disney! As a Disney College Program cast member, you are not only on an internship of a lifetime but also one of our very special and cherished guests.
