Once upon a time, two ladies named Emily and Kristina applied to the Disney College Program at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Emily was selected to be a character attendant, and Kristina would be working in merchandise. Both Emily and Kristina excitedly counted down the days to when they would start their program.

When it reached three weeks prior to their arrival, Emily and Kristina met to fill out their DORMS preregistration. They had already designated that Kristina would be the leader and decided upon their housing preferences together.

Emily and Kristina began happily logging into DORMS, but suddenly an error message appeared, reading “Invalid Credentials”.

Emily and Kristina panicked. The thought of missing the Thursday deadline was apocalyptic. Just as tears began to well in their eyes, the screens on their computers began to sparkle and the magical DORMS fairy appeared on the screen.

“Greetings, my dear users!” said the DORMS fairy, “I sense that you are having difficulties logging into DORMS. I may have my magic, but my goal is to provide you with the information you need to login.”

Stunned, Emily and Kristina nodded their heads, and the DORMS fairy presented them with what we are are giving you now: the secrets to a carefree DORMS experience. Whether you need to log on to DORMS now or in the near future, this magical advice is definitely something to hold on to!

To begin, click the statement that best describes you and your user experience, and follow the steps to resolution.

“I am confident in my DORMS username and password, and I have logged in within the past 30 days.”
As a reminder, DORMS login credentials are not shared with any other Disney website such as your dashboard on DisneyCareers.com, The HUB or DOC.

STEP 1: Go to dorms.disney.com/login. Ensure that you are logging into the participant site that reads “Participant” above the login.

STEP 2: Here you have options and can pick which option you are most comfortable with (each option will provide the same results). The purpose of Step 2 is to change the browser settings so that the browser will accept the password you are typing instead of old passwords or passwords to other sites.

  • Option A: Open an incognito or private browsing window. Incognito or private browsing windows do not store any data from internet activity.
  • Option B: Clear the cache. The cache is what stores your password information. If you do not know how to clear the cache, click here.
  • Option C: Clear your history. Sometimes people like to start off on a new slate. Your history is a record of all your browsing activity.

STEP 3: You are ready to log in! If you encounter problems, click “Retrieve password” and wait 30 minutes for your new password to be emailed.

As a reminder, DORMS login credentials are not shared with any other Disney website such as your dashboard on DisneyCareers.com, The HUB or DOC. Your email address used to accept your program is your username.

STEP 2: Click “Retrieve Password” and wait 30 minutes for an email.
You may be anxious to get a new password, but if you click multiple times, you will be locked out and the password you will be sent won’t work!

STEP 3: After clicking “Retrieve Password”, close or quit all browser sessions or tabs.

STEP 4: Open a new browsing session. Here you have options and can pick which option you are most comfortable with (each option will provide the same results). The purpose of Step 4 is to change the browser settings so that the browser will accept the new temporary password instead of old passwords or passwords of other sites.

  • Option A: Open an incognito or private browsing window. Incognito or private browsing windows do not store any data from internet activity.
  • Option B: Clear the cache. The cache is what stores your password information.
  • Option C: Clear your history. Sometimes people like to start off on a new slate. Your history is a record of all your browsing activity.

STEP 3: You are ready to log in! Type in the new temporary password, and please do not copy and paste from the email.

STEP 4: Write down your new password in a safe location and remember these steps!

Now I bet you are all asking, “How did the story of Emily and Kristina end?”

Well, Emily and Kristina were both successful in logging into DORMS and completing their preregistration, just as you will be the next time you log in. Although the two roommates did not receive their top choice of The Commons, Emily and Kristina were glad to be placed at Vista Way because of all the new friends they met, the memories they shared and the magic they made.

The end.
