Coordinating Dreams Come True in College Recruiting

Just what is it like to work in the Disney Internships and Programs Recruiting office? We often get this question from students, alumni and campus reps about our Professional Internship with Disney College Recruiting at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL. This Professional Internship, offered every 6 months, is a great way to stay connected to the Disney College Program on both coasts and learn the back-end of our recruiting processes. Our team of interns and coordinators are responsible for assisting with the daily operation of College Recruiting. Projects focus around processing files, answering a high volume multi-line phone system, assist in on-boarding students at arrivals, and maintaining special projects.

Current intern Jessica described, “My favorite part of being a College Recruiting Coordinator is working with the students both through the application process and after they are accepted. I love helping answer their questions and get them excited about this opportunity.” Jessica has had quite the career in Disney Internships and Programs already! She did completed her Program in Magic Kingdom attractions and said “after about a week I knew I was hooked and wanted to have Disney as my career!” She continued her involvement as a campus rep at the University of Georgia. During school she did her first Professional Internship with Disney Vacation Club sales and after she graduated she, “knew I wanted to continue with Disney, and I was thrilled to be able to do so as a Management Intern with Epcot Guest Show!” Now she is one of four professional interns in the Casting office working with Disney Internships and Programs, supporting our recruiting team. In addition to supporting the daily operations in the office, they also take on special projects, including supporting the traveling recruiting team.

Do you want to stay connected to the Disney College Program and make a difference in the life of thousands of students? If you have strong communication, organization and time management skills, consider applying for the College Recruiting Coordinator Professional Internship! Jessica concluded, “The Disney College Program was such a life changing experience for me, the idea that I spend every day getting to help other students do the same is just incredible!”
