Here at Walt Disney World® Resort, safety is our number one priority for both cast and guests. Because of this, we offer Disney Program participants the opportunity to become CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association completely free of charge!

Becoming certified is an easy, three-part process. The first step is to attend a 30-minute Don’t Miss a Beat session. This hands-on, interactive program provides step-by-step instructions on how to properly execute compression-only CPR and how to use an AED machine. The class is facilitated by a certified, American Heart Association instructor, and you’ll be able to practice your CPR and AED techniques in the class.

After the Don’t Miss a Beat session, you’ll complete an online training course on your own time that gives a deeper dive into these life-saving techniques. From there, you’ll register for an in-person assessment in which your CPR and AED skills will be evaluated for safety and accuracy.

With millions of guests visiting our parks and resorts every year, and the thousands of cast members who work for Walt Disney World Resort, you never know when CPR and AED skills may come in handy. While you’re on your program, we encourage you to take advantage of this valuable resource to learn something new and potentially help save a life one day!
