Work Overview

A Unique Working Experience

Covering more than 47 square miles, the Walt Disney World® Resort is one of the largest and most exciting vacation destinations in the world. Across our property, we feature more than 300 food and beverage locations, spanning all types of dining experiences.

Each role offered through the Disney Culinary Program provides a unique and diverse learning and working experience. However, all participants will have the opportunity to develop their communication and problem-solving skills, and work on their confidence and self-reliance.

Pay

A Disney Culinary Program participant’s hourly wage will vary between $12.40 – $16.00 per hour, based on the site and role in which he/she is placed.

When You Should Expect to Work

As a Disney Culinary Program participant, you’ll find that flexibility is the key to your program. Our program participants must be available to work full time in our theme parks, resorts and other operations areas.

Participants must have full work availability, which includes being able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. Shifts can be scheduled any time of day, including early morning or after midnight.

The range of hours participants can be scheduled varies between peak and non-peak periods. During non-peak periods, students are scheduled 30 to 50 hours per week. During peak periods (which generally occur during holiday weeks) and certain program arrival periods (generally January, May and August), participants may be scheduled more than 50 hours per week.
