Are you interested in exploring new internship opportunities? With the recent Disney/Fox merger, new opportunities have become available! The 21CF internship program provides college students and recent grads the opportunity to intern in various departments within businesses such as Twentieth Century Fox Film and Fox Networks. Internships located in Los Angeles and New York with Fox Searchlight Production, Publicity, International Marketing, and others are all up for grabs.

During the summer, National Geographic joins the 21CF internship program. Within National Geographic (NatGeo) we have internships in departments such as programming, travel operations, and expeditions; amongst others. NatGeo internships are primarily in Washington DC, with some in New York and Colorado. Although we have interns all over the U.S., most interns are in the Fox Studio Lot located in Century City. The Fox Studio Lot headquarters facilities for Fox administration, production personnel, stages, theaters, dressing rooms, and editing bays.

How is life as a 21CF intern? There is so much to do! Not only do we have 4 different eateries on the lot, but we are also located close to Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. You can enjoy a day at the beach, the mountains or simply take a stroll through Hollywood Blvd. Adjacent to the lot is the Century City Mall where you can find different options for shopping and dining. Many of our interns also enjoy walking in picturesque residential areas around the lot in addition to the few parks we have within walking distance. Interns are also able to join our Fox Lot Studio gym for no charge, and can even bring guests to film screenings. Interning for 21CF in sunny LA certainly has its perks.

As an intern, you may participate in any events organized specifically for interns, even if you don’t work right on the lot.  We have tour of the Fox Lot and Archives, speaker events, and lunch & learns. And with the acquisition by Disney, 21CF interns are now able to take part in the Walt Disney Company intern events as well! This allows for more networking opportunities not only within the Fox lot but within the Disney community as well. Interns are encouraged to network as much as they can.

On the Fox Lot, News Café and the Commissary Café offer great lunch options.  For fans of The Simpsons who need an afternoon coffee fix, you can do so at Moe’s; it’s the only café open until 5 PM. At the lot we also have a sit-down restaurant known as the Commissary Dining Room. This historical restaurant is where Shirley Temple had her own personal dining room. She used to live on the lot while she was filming and would ride her pony down to her Dining Room. Today, this special dining room is now available for executives to use.

So, what do you need to qualify for the 21CF internship program? All applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above. We also accept recent graduate students who have graduated within six months at the time of their application. Students should only apply to positions for which they meet the criteria. The program runs for 10 weeks; the spring session runs from January through April, the summer session runs from June through August and, the fall session runs from September through December. Interns can set up their schedule with their managers, accordingly. Dress to impress, as first impressions are everything, especially during interviews! If you are interested in learning more about our opportunities, please keep an eye on our website www.21cfcareers.comwhere all positions are posted for each session.

Good luck, and happy applying!
